ST KITTS HEALTH SERVICES SECTOR ICT PROJECT

GOVERNMENT OF ST. KITTS AND NEVIS MINISTRY OF HEALTH

 

The National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has signed its fifth Contract on June 2nd, 2023.  The St. Kitts-Nevis Cable Communications Ltd. (The Cable) was awarded the Contract for the St. Kitts Health Services Sector ICT Project. The Project is to supply, install and commission a Wide Area Network (WAN) between the Joseph N. France General Hospital and the other sixteen Health Facilities within St. Kitts. The life span of the project is five years and consists of two components.

  1. Component 1 consists of the supply, installation and commissioning of the St. Kitts Health Sector ICT Network and the training of persons who will be involved in the operation of the Network.
  2. Component 2 consists of providing Internet services related to the network for the St. Kitts Health Sector ICT Network for a period of five (5) years.

The build out of this modernized network will provide fast and secure services among the three (3) Hospitals, Individual Clinics and Health Facilities.

The Project will be funded from the Universal Service Fund. The total cost of the project is Three Million Three Hundred and Thirty-nine Thousand Nine Hundred and Twenty-eight Eastern Caribbean Dollars and Eighteen Cents (XCD $3,339,928.18).
